Course Set-Up & Daily Pin Location |
|
We have many eyes and ears on the golf course but sometimes cannot see everything.
Any help you can give us by detecting and reporting any potential problems on the golf course will be greatly appreciated.

Course set-up will be done at a minimum of five days per week and always for tournaments, weekends and heavy traffic days.
Typical daily tasks are as follows:
• Change cup locations daily ( practice greens are changed weekly).
• Move tee marker locations.
• Fill divots at each tee location.
• Refill water coolers and cups.
• Refill divot containers on course and driving range.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Adjust any ropes and signage.
• Renovate driving range tee.
• Replenish ball washers with clean water, detergent and towels.
|
| Daily Pin Locations |
Pin placement zones are determined by a number of factors that equate to fairness. Each zone is assigned a number. Some of the difficulty factors are; change in slope, turf quality, holding quality, length of shot to the green, prevailing wind, and design of the hole. A collaborative effort between the Golf Professional, Superintendent, Greens Committee Chairman and Golf Committee Chairman further scrutinizes and adjusts zone locations for fairness.
Pin location rotation numbers are posted in the Pro Shop, 1st and 10th tees.
