What draws people to Baker Hill?

Although there are a number of reasons that draw people to Baker Hill the two that stand out are the quality of the golf experience and the quality of the club’s membership.

1. Just about all members have come to the club looking for a superior golf experience. This includes the quality and beauty of the Rees Jones golf course as well as access to well-planned practice familities and an outstanding professional golf staff for instruction. One of the most important benefits for members is being able to enjoy that superior golf experience when they want it instead of having to make tee times.

2.  Our members are very active, not only playing frequently and using the practice facilities to sharpen their game, but also participating in the many planned social events and the actual management of the club.  Our members are friendly and enjoy each other’s company. As equity owners, members take a special pride in the club and work to preserve the playability of the course.

What is the membership process?

Membership is by invitation.  Candidates for membership must be sponsored by three existing members.

Many times, someone new to the area will contact the chair of the membership committee and be invited to meet and play with a small group of members who can act as sponsors.  Candidates are asked to complete an application form and make a refundable deposit towards their specific membership plan.  Candidates for membership are presented (electronically) to the club’s membership and finally to the Board of Governors for final acceptance.

This process typically takes 1 – 2 months.
