Bob Turcotte
BOB TURCOTTE - Golf Course Superintendent

The beautiful tees, greens and fairways at Baker Hill are a tribute to the skill of Bob Turcotte, our golf course superintendent. The first staff member hired by the club, Bob arrived in the fall of 1999 when the first golf holes were just beginning to emerge from the woods and fields on Baker Hill. Working closely with architect Rees Jones and his associate Keith Evans, he supervised the "grow-in" of the golf course from start to finish. When the full 18 holes were opened in 2002, Bob agreed to stay on to handle course maintenance.

Bob has excellent qualifications for his job. He received a degree in turf management from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture (part of the University of Massachusetts) in 1983 and started his career as assistant superintendent at Portland Country Club in Falmouth, Maine. His next job took him to North Conway where he oversaw a "grow-in" at Hale's Location Country Club, a new nine-hole course. After eight years at Hale's Location, he went to Goffstown, New Hampshire, to supervise the "grow-in" at Stonebridge Country Club, which opened in 1998. From there he came to Baker Hill.

Bob lives in Henniker. He and his wife Donna have two daughters and a son.
